ABOUT JOHN

With over 27 years of experience in the title and escrow industry, John Lotardo, aka the TITLEMAN™, is highly qualified for his position as Manager of Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.As part of the Commonwealth National Commercial Services Division, John underwrites and facilitates many local and national transactions.

John knows that between his extensive knowledge and Commonwealth’s vast resources, he is able to provide a premier level of satisfaction to his clients. Described as meticulous and authentic by his clients and colleagues, John is excited to work with such an incredible team of professionals, who support him and help him achieve his goals.

Commitment, perseverance, and resiliency are John’s three most valuable qualities that have led him to the success he has had thus far in his career. He believes that adaptation is key, especially in this innovative industry.

John graduated with honors from Long Island University with a Bachelor Degree and from Arizona State University College of Law with a Juris Doctor Degree. As an active member of the State Bar of Arizona, he is a frequent speaker, instructor, retained expert and guest commentator. Being a past-President of the Land Title Association of Arizona and the Arizona Trustee Association, he has been a member of many real estate organizations, both locally and nationally. He is also a 2016 inaugural recipient of the Arizona Land Title Professional designation. John has also participated in many other educational services and trainings, such as T.R.I.D. training, Excellence in Underwriting, and Arizona Association of Realtors CRMS presenter training.

John is the author of many publications including the popular “Ask the TITLEMAN™”. He has been an active volunteer and has made numerous appearances on both radio and television. He has been selected as a "Who's Who" in the legal community as part of The Business Journal's Leading Lawyers Program, among others. Currently, John is President of the Real Estate Advisory Board for the Maricopa County Recorder.

Originally from New York, John came to Arizona under a partial scholarship to conduct law studies at Arizona State University College of Law. He has remained in Arizona ever since, and has been married for almost 25 years. His interests outside of work include traveling, home improvement, and the Arts. He founded a local dance company for which he was Artistic Director, where he choreographed and performed for many years.
